Methods for maintaining and servicing sewage pumps

What are the methods for maintaining and servicing a sewage pump? Below is a brief introduction. 1. When stopping the sewage pump, first close the gate valve and pressure gauge, then stop the motor. 2. Check the sewage pump pipeline and connections for any looseness. Manually rotate the sewage pump to check if it moves smoothly. 3. Add bearing lubricating oil to the bearing housing. Observe that the oil level should be at the center line of the oil gauge. Replace or replenish the lubricating oil in a timely manner. 4. Unscrew the priming plug on the sewage pump body and fill with priming water (or priming slurry). This is for self-priming sewage pumps. 5. Close the gate valve on the outlet pipeline and the outlet pressure gauge and inlet vacuum gauge. 6. Briefly start the motor to check if the motor rotation is correct. 7. Start the motor. After the sewage pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and inlet vacuum gauge. After observing that they display appropriate pressure, gradually open the gate valve while checking the motor load. 8. Control the flow rate and head of the sewage pump within the range specified on the nameplate as much as possible to ensure the pump operates at its highest efficiency point and achieves maximum energy savings. 9. During operation, the bearing temperature of the sewage pump should not exceed 35℃ above the ambient temperature, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 80℃. 10. If any abnormal noise is detected from the sewage pump, stop it immediately and check the cause. The above are the maintenance and upkeep methods for sewage pumps introduced by the editor. We hope this information is helpful.
